In harmonic mode, the signal is split between 2 alternating high pass and low pass filters to provide a lush warbling tremolo effect similar to old 50s\/60s brown panel amps. The pedal also has a volume control which allows you to push the volume above normal levels, as with most tremolo effects it can seem like there is a volume drop when engaged due to the nature of the effect.
