Amplifier section focused on analog circuitry

The amplifier section, which is the key to the sound, was redesigned to match the APC-1 speaker unit based on the legendary tone of the VOX AC30. By focusing on analog circuits for this amplifier section, an authentic sound was achieved. In addition, the multi-stage gain circuitry perfectly reproduces the complex distortion found in tube amplifiers. The amp-like control section allows for a wide range of sound makeup, from clean to crunch to drive sounds. Another unique feature of this guitar is the GAIN knob, which allows for easy-to-use overdrive distortion sounds, rather than the fuzzy distortion that is common on guitars with speakers.

Adoption of Wide-Dispersion Speaker

The APC-1 features an omnidirectional speaker from Tectonic Audio Labs. With a full range from 100Hz to 20kHz and the ability to project sound in a wide 180° direction, it adopts a design that ensures clear audio even when not directly facing the speaker. This makes it an ideal speaker for guitars, providing easy sound perception for both the performer and the audience.

Addressing weaknesses found in previous speaker-equipped guitars, such as insufficient bass and susceptibility to feedback, the newly designed guitar incorporates a passive radiator in a dedicated enclosure. This innovation significantly enhances the sound quality compared to conventional speaker-equipped guitars. Additionally, the speaker unit is designed with anti-vibration technology, creating a robust structure that effectively tackles the common issue of feedback in speaker-equipped guitars.

Balancing output across a wide range from low to high frequencies, this next-generation speaker-equipped guitar not only delivers a harmonious sound but also successfully integrates feedback prevention measures in the enclosure.

Effects and Rhythm Machines

Drawing inspiration from the technology of the VOX MINI GO series of digital modeling amplifiers, the APC-1 incorporates advanced effectors and a rhythm machine. The array of effects includes chorus, tremolo, delay, and reverb, with the added convenience of a tap tempo function for the delay and reverb features. The rhythm machine provides 11 genres, featuring a metronome, and each genre offers three variations, totaling 33 pre-installed rhythm patterns.

Vintage Refined Shape
The body design is reminiscent of the vintage VOX guitars released in the 1960s. The head shape has also been newly designed by rearranging the products of the time.
